Summary
Lignufy is a B2B online wood marketplace. We built its marketplace app, set up Zoho One for the whole company and launched a website with analytics and SEO.
- Marketplace app live since May 2024.
- Zoho One, CRM, email and forms for the whole company.
- Website with analytics and SEO templates for listings.
The Challenge
A startup digitizing the wood trade needed three things at once: a working marketplace app, a website to present it and bring the first users, and an operating system for the whole team. We delivered all three and ran them as one project in two-week sprints.
Step by step
-
Marketplace app development
We picked up a work-in-progress app and took it to launch. The first version has been live on its own domain since the end of May 2024. The app supports:
- company registration, buyer and seller roles and an admin account,
- listings with categories (roundwood, construction timber, biomass, wood products), wood species and units,
- browsing offers with filters, a product detail page and orders with quantity and unit,
- email and push notifications and a responsive version.
After launch we tuned the app with the client against real use (filters, units, SEO of listing URLs, redirects for sold products). We planned a second development phase of three months in sprints.
-
Zoho One for the whole company
The whole Lignufy team runs on Zoho One with an all-employee licence. We set up company email on the client's own domain, including aliases and a group address for system emails, which avoided buying another licence. We imported data into Zoho CRM, built web forms with Zoho Forms and designed an API link between the app's listings and the CRM so inquiries and offers are stored without manual work.
-
Website and measurement
We built lignufy.com, which speaks to buyers and sellers separately and has a blog, a contact form and a newsletter. We added analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity), a sitemap and SEO templates to the website and the app, so every listing has its own title and description based on the product and category.
The Result
-
App live since May 2024First version of the marketplace on its own domain.
-
Zoho One for the whole companyEmail, CRM and forms on one system.
-
Website with measurement and SEOAnalytics and SEO templates for listings from day one.
-
Two-week sprintsApp, Zoho and website run as one project.
Conclusion
Lignufy shows that a startup can get product, operations and website from one delivery team. We implement Zoho and build custom development. If you are in a similar situation, book a free Zoho audit.
