    • After a time of steady depreciation LinkedIn confirmed that its testing a removal of hashtags feature. Less people are using them but still it's a useful feature for many others. Let’s see what happens.
  • X is restoring political ads
    • Reversing the decision of its former CEO, X lifts the ban on political ads. Part of the “commitment to free speech” or a way to not let huge revenues slip through your fingers in upcoming presidential elections? Regardless of that, this might change the way people behave on the platform again.
  • Multiply organic reach on X with replies

    • Just in time. Ad market sees first positive signs of improvement. And the economy seems to move in a positive direction too as the black friday and Ćhristmass season is slowly approaching.
  • Connected TV hours watched grew by 21 % YoY

Online privacy and security

  • In Europe you might be able to pay to avoid ads on Meta 
  • Both Meta and Snap offers to turn off content personalization
    • EU’s DSA pushes social media and search engines to give more personalization options to EU users. Meta offers to turn off AI ads personalization. In Snap you can opt-out of content personalization.

SEO

  • 85 % of titles in top 5 positions includes KWs
    • KWs, meta descriptions, capital letters and grammar still play a huge role in your organic position in SERP. So the core bets practices still hold up. See other stats here.
  • Don’t delete old content
    • If you want to delete some of your old website content don’t do it unless it is really outdated. Old content still matters and if it’s valuable, then Google will still give relevance to it.

E-commerce

  • Meesho - the fastest growing shopping app in the world
    • India has a new player in goods delivery. It’s Meesho which got 500+ million downloads worldwide in 2022. It focuses on cheaper goods offering retailers zero-commision model.
